Nobu Restaurant

The design of the 272-seat Nobu restaurant was influenced by the traditional Japanese garden pavilions that were often used for ceremonies and rituals. The bar and lounge area features a backlit, white onyx bar volume that sits in front of a 12-foot-long river rock art installation. Custom folded cast glass pendants cast a soft glow on the bar. Overscale pendants made from shoji paper (a translucent material traditionally used to create room dividers) create the look of elongated, abstracted paper lanterns in the main dining room. Ceiling-mounted indigo-dyed wood screens and wood-clad concrete columns divide the large dining space into a series of more intimate rooms.
