In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce.
Hence, the Ugly Apple was born.
Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter. Cancellation Policy
Renter may cancel prior to sixty (60) days of the rental date by written notice to the City. Upon such timely cancellation, the Damage Deposit shall be refunded in full to the Renter as well as 50% of the Total Venue Renal Fee paid. Any deposits and fees shall be forfeited as liquidated damages, not as penalty, for any cancellations less than sixty (60) days of the rental date.
