Due to our cities location on the East Coast of Australia, the Gold Coast is the ideal residence to witness and learn about whale migrations such as humpbacks, whale calves and killer whales from both directions. If you’re lucky, you could catch a glimpse of Migaloo, the mysterious white humpback whale that has gained quite a following on the Gold Coast and Australia.
While most migrations typically take place around the middle of August, the whale watching season extends from June through to November. Marina Mirage, Sea World and Surfers Paradise are all accessible departure points within minutes from the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort.
