About us
IL TABACCHIFICIO SRL is located in the upper part of Gagliano del Capo, 1 km far from the coast and 2 km from Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme tip of Salento Puglia. Its strategic geographical location is ideal to know both the Adriatic coast and the Ionian coast. Our guests can choose the intriguing cliffs overlooking the sea or the long sandy beaches. Each room is named after a town of Salento and the photos of Andrea Morgante illustrate that beauties, a photographic journey that takes place throughout the hotel.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
