As the first new Hirafu hotel to open in 20 years, Chalet Ivy, a brand new boutique hotel, officially opened its doors on December 19th, 2012! Chalet Ivy’s concept is very simple: we aim to be your home away from home in Hirafu. Whether you are touring the bounty of natural beauty that is summertime in Hokkaido or heading out for a long day on the world-famous Niseko powder snow, Chalet Ivy is here to heartily welcome you home afterwards. A special selection of pristine Hokkaido seafood are highlighted by our Executive Chef, formerly Sushi Chef for more than ten years at a world renowned Hong Kong hotel’s sophisticated and critically acclaimed Japanese restaurant. Snow Castle’s unique approach to traditional Japanese cuisine is sure to be a palate-pleasing experience! The hotel consists of 33 spacious guest rooms all featuring Chalet Ivy’s signature simple, natural and elegant style with breathtaking views of either iconic Mt. Yotei or the Mt. Resort Grand Hirafu ski slopes. The natural beauty of Niseko is highlighted through specially designed room interiors – bedroom walls feature a natural forest motif while doors and room furniture are constructed of light hued wood reminiscent of the surrounding Hokkaido trees. Champagne-gold curtains and exclusive Chalet Ivy room amenities further enhance the elegance of all guest rooms. Our inviting guest rooms will surely make Chalet Ivy feel like your home away from home!
