St Andrews Cathedral dominated the history of the medieval church in Scotland from its construction in the 12th century until the Protestant Reformation in 1560. Scotland’s largest and most magnificent medieval church, the cathedral was the seat of Scotland’s leading bishops (and from 1472 archbishops). It occupied a site used for worship since the 8th century AD, when the relics of St Andrew, Scotland’s patron saint, are said to have been brought here. The cathedral buildings are surrounded by a graveyard, and encircled by the most complete and imposing monastic enclosure walls in Scotland. Even in its ruinous state the cathedral remains a prominent landmark, the focus of the three medieval streets of St Andrews, and highly visible from the sea.

Husk
Husk
Nashville
Located in Rutledge Hill – just a few blocks south of Historic Broadway, in the heart of Downtown Nashville – Husk, from The Neighborhood Dining Group, is reinterpreting the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in Nashville. At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine. Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.

OUR ETHOS Fearann, Mar, Talamh – the Earth, the Sea, the Land in Scots Gaelic, is the foundation of the food ethos at Old Course Hotel, St Andrews. We represent the best that Scotland’s abundant natural larder has to offer and put it at the centre of everything we do in our events spaces. Not only are we situated in one of the best and well-known locations in the world, Fife is in one of Scotland’s most well-known food areas. We have some of the best produce available, found anywhere across the globe, right on our doorstep. Our chefs have created a range of menus, concepts and food led elements that showcase everything that is special and unique about Fearann, Mar, Talamh, with the concept running through all of our inspiring offerings. Respect for the product, sustainability, and provenance are just as important as the product itself, making for an eclectic mix of the traditional and the innovative, with some unexpected creative elements that set us apart. THE PROVENANCE In an unbeatable location, Old Course Hotel, St Andrews is a legendary hotel, surrounded by arable farmland and pasture to the north and west, world famous coastal fishing villages such as Anstruther and Pittenweem to the south, and the abundant, cold water fishing grounds of the North Sea to the east. We are situated literally at the crossroads of an area that is arguably unequalled outside of Scotland. Close relationships with local farmers, cheesemakers, fisherman and other food artisans, developed over many years, give us the opportunity to showcase provenance and sustainability at Old Course Hotel as an inextricable part of the ethos of Fearann, Mar, Talamh.
