Opening in Spring 2026, the harborside hotel will embody a laid back sophistication and coastal lifestyle, with residential-style guest rooms and suites inspired by the area’s winding coastal waterways; an on-site marina with fleet of luxury cruising vessels, including a custom Hinckley yacht; four distinct food & beverage venues, ranging from a casual burger joint to a sophisticated Mediterranean restaurant; a 7,000 square-foot wellness spa with seven treatment rooms; a waterfront infinity pool with panoramic views of the Charleston Harbor and the downtown skyline; 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space; exclusive retail shops; and a grand lawn that connects guests and locals to Joe Riley Waterfront Park. Owned and operated by BHC, The Cooper is the first extraordinary step in the reimagining of Charleston’s storied waterfront and serves as a modern yet timeless expression of authentic Charleston.

Waterfront Park is a twelve-acre park along approximatley one-half mile of the Cooper River in Charleston. Waterfront Park opened in 1990 and one of the most visited parks in South Carolina which offers amazing views of the Charleston Harbor. Gardens, fountains, walking paths and numerous park benches are all available on the property. One of the attractions is the large fountain at the northern entrance of the park with a wooden pier that extends to the Cooper River. A floating dock near the fountain offers clear views of the Ravenel Bridge, Charleston Harbor, Castle Pinckney, the U.S.S. Yorktown at Patriot's Point and Fort Sumter. It is also a good place to sit, relax and watch the sailboats cruising the waters and large ships heading in and out of the harbor.

There are also countless art galleries, The French Quarter is known to be the most romantic of the Charleston's districts.
