Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, the large canyon approximately 10 miles long and up to 3000 feet deep is located on the western side of Kauai. Waimea is Hawaiian for Reddish water, a reference to the erosion of the canyon's red soil. The Canyon was formed by a deep incision of the Waimea River arising from the extreme rainfall on the island's central peak, Mount Wai`ale`ale, earning it's distinction as one of the wettest places on earth.

You are also able to soar through the air on the seven-line zipline course, traversing the side of a mountain down to a lush bamboo grove.

Golfer and architect Jack Nicklaus created the original Kiele Course in the late 1980s and called back in 2011 to redesign the back nine of his famed Kiele Course. This pavilion is located steps away from the beach with stunning ocean views.
