The University of Oregon is a huge part of Eugene, contributing a large student population, college sports and a robust art and music scene. The University of Oregon campus features many attractions to visitors and locals including Autzen Stadium, Matthew Knight Arena, Hayward Field, Riverfront Research Park and Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. Just a mile away from the Inn at the 5th, parents of students can rest easy while visiting.
Outdoor Activities
Opportunities for enjoying the outdoors are abundant in Eugene. Those interested in physical activities can hike the buttes in Eugene, bike along the best paths throughout the city, raft on the Willamette river or run on TrackTown USA’s trails. Nature lovers can explore the many parks within city limits including Skinner’s Butte Park, Alton Baker Park and Hendricks City Park. Eugene is also home to some incredible golf courses including Oakway Golf Course, RiverRidge Golf Complex and Laurelwood Municipal Golf Course. Tokatee Golf Club is also just a quick scenic drive up the McKenzie highway. Not too far away are the mountains to the east and the coastal range to the west, making Eugene a central location for year round activities.
