The San Jose Center for the Performing Arts offers large windows throughout the entryways, providing plenty of natural light and spectacular views of downtown San Jose. The San Jose McEnery Convention Center sits in the center of Downtown and boasts hundreds of varied events a year. Built in 1934 in the California mission style of architecture, the Civic holds 2,850 fans and has been played by legendary acts like Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, The Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, just to name a few. It continues to host performers that have achieved international or national acclaim and everything from children's concerts and comedians, to county stars and political satirists are booked into this state of the art facility with classic rock appeal.

The San Pedro Square Market is the Downtown San Jose meet-up place for foodies, music lovers, locally-made shop supporters, demanders of coffee perfection, history seekers, old-time barbershop hunters, social media followers, and wine and beer libation imbibers. Avaya Stadium is home of Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes. The stadium is located on the Airport West site that is located to the west of San Jose International Airport. Avaya Stadium officially opened for business on February 27, 2015, and has a capacity of approximately 18,000. It is sponsored by Avaya, headquartered nearby in Santa Clara. The stadium features a canopy roof and the steepest-raked seating in Major League Soccer to provide a better view. Additionally, the area behind the northeast goal houses the largest outdoor bar in North America, a two-acre fan zone and a double-sided video scoreboard.
