Triangle Park fans out to envelop the beholder into the tranquility of soft waterfalls and wide stone promenades lined with Honey Locust trees. This 25-acre property was home to the historic James E. Pepper Distillery, which began making bourbon in 1879. However, in 1958 the site was abandoned completely, untouched for nearly 50 years. Fortunately, in 2008 local entrepreneurs teamed up to bring this area back to its former glory and they did not disappoint. Since then, this revitalized piece of Lexington history has become a lively downtown destination. Today, you’ll find two working bourbon distilleries on the historic site, which serves as an anchor for the up-and-coming neighborhood. Plus, the easily walkable area combined with its diverse food and drink offerings makes the Distillery District one of Lexington’s most exciting hotspots.

The Kentucky Horse Park is the perfect place for the whole family to learn about horses and this region’s rich equine history. This fun, all-inclusive destination includes guided horse and pony rides, museums, galleries, barn tours, and memorials to former champions.

Recognized as an epicenter of sports excellence, Rupp Arena is renowned for its storied history, marquee matchups, and year-round top-quality events and entertainment. Home to the 2012 National Champion University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball program, this legendary facility is adjacent to Central Bank Center and regularly hosts main sessions for Lexington's city wide conventions bringing in 3500 people or more.
