Hyatt Place Austin Downtown

In 1878, Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas, purchased the land on which Hotel Ella now sits. Wooten’s son, Goodall, moved into the home on the property in 1900 with his new wife, Ella, who oversaw its transformation into a Greek revival mansion. The mansion underwent an extensive renovation in 2013, and now offers the perfect balance between modernity and a rich history rooted in the fabric of the neighborhood and the university.

Our mission is to create and curate memorable live jazz entertainment experiences that your clients and audiences talk about with enthusiasm after every event! ► What makes our approach special is the "Recognition Factor." Nestled in Austin’s Bouldin Creek neighborhood, Green Pastures’ storied history, oak-shaded grounds, and resident peacocks make the magical site unmatched by its local peers. Originally part of 50 rural acres with a farmhouse built in 1895, its owners named it Green Pastures and opened its doors as an eatery and public gathering place in 1946. Throughout many decades of great change and various stewards, the property has remained a steadfast symbol of Austin hospitality and an oasis of relaxed elegance just a few blocks away from the city’s bustling cultural and shopping districts.

Hello! I have been a small business owner and band leader in the Austin area for over 12 years. In that time I have released 9 records and played over 1,000 private events. Before I started my professional music career, I was a corporate buyer while moonlighting as a musician, so I am very familiar with the requirements and decorum of the corporate world. My wife and I live outside the city and have two small daughters. I am also co-owner of a local indie record label and enjoy helping other artists get their music heard.
