El antiguo ayuntamiento de Gravesend, una elegante mansión georgiana situada en el corazón del histórico barrio patrimonial de la ciudad, ha sido completamente restaurado para devolverle su grandeza original para ofrecer un lugar único para bodas sofisticadas y eventos corporativos y comunitarios. Ubicado a solo 17 minutos en tren de alta velocidad de Londres y a 10 minutos del enlace con el túnel del Canal de la Mancha, el antiguo ayuntamiento de Gravesend está perfectamente ubicado para acceder desde Kent, Essex, Sussex, el Gran Londres y el continente. El Gran Salón se encuentra en el primer piso de la mansión y es un lugar verdaderamente magnífico para celebrar su matrimonio. La sala fue anteriormente la Cámara del Consejo y cuenta con paneles de roble, un espléndido techo de atrio de vidrio grabado y paneles históricos de vitrales. Las puertas ceremoniales conducen a la Gran Entrada y a la Escalera Principal para que sus invitados ingresen por el imponente pórtico griego y las antiguas escaleras de piedra. Después de la ceremonia, los invitados pueden trasladarse a la antigua sala del tribunal para relajarse con bebidas y canapés de bienvenida mientras aprovechan las numerosas oportunidades para tomar fotografías que ofrece este prestigioso edificio histórico. El Gran Salón puede albergar hasta 170 personas para ceremonias civiles. Mientras se toman las fotografías, los servicios de catering oficiales pueden cambiar el Gran Salón para celebrar una sofisticada recepción de bodas con capacidad para 120 invitados. La sala Parlor está ubicada en el primer piso de la mansión y es un espacio íntimo con capacidad para 12 personas para ceremonias civiles. La Antigua Sala del Tribunal se encuentra junto al Gran Salón en el primer piso de la mansión. El Old Court Room, que alguna vez fue escenario de muchos dramas judiciales dickensianos, se ha transformado en una sala de eventos amplia y luminosa que ofrece el escenario perfecto para la ceremonia de su boda.

At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine. Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.
