The Alex is a chic hotel located in the vibrant heart of the Irish capital. It has 103 bedrooms which are uniquely designed with a retro touch. Each room boasts a super king size bed, 50-inch smart TV with Chromecast connectivity, accessible power points throughout as well as a retro Roberts radio and old-style telephone. O’Callaghan Collection is a group of four luxurious boutique hotels, located in a premier setting at the heart of Georgian Dublin. With a total of 413 guestrooms and meeting space for up to 200 delegates, the collection offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience for our guests. Three of the four hotels, The Alex, The Davenport, and The Mont, are uniquely positioned on the same square, just 30 seconds apart. This rare setup allows for a seamless group experience: for example, meet at The Alex, dine at The Davenport, and host an exclusive event at The Mont, all coordinated by a single dedicated contact on our events team. The Alex offers a range of meeting and events spaces that are both stylish and versatile. Ideal for any occasion from intimate private dining to large-scale conferences, events spaces at the Alex can accommodate any size of gathering from 10 up to 400 guests. The hotel boasts a wide array of premium amenities, including premium dining at The Carriage, the hotel restaurant-bar, The Secret Garden, an outdoor dining terrace, 24/7 access to a state-of-the-art gym, an open plan workhub in the lobby and the fastest hotel WiFi in Dublin.

The hotel is located 15kms from Dublin International Airport or approximately 25 minutes by taxi travelling at off peak times. Via Airlink (between 30 – 60 minutes): The Airlink 757 serves the south side of Dublin City, and goes as far as Camden (Charlotte Way and Harcourt Street), with stops at Grand Canal Dock, Pearse Street, Merrion Square, St. Stephen’s Green, Earlsfort Terrace and Adelaide road. There is a stop located beside our sister hotel the Davenport, a 1-minute walk from the hotel lobby. Via Taxi: (20 – 45 minutes depending on time of day) Taxis are available outside the main doors of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at the airport 24/7. Our reception team can call you a taxi to the airport on your departure from the Alex. Via Car: (20 – 45 minutes depending on time of day) You can travel via the city centre or the toll bridge.
