El Parador se encuentra en lo alto de una colina junto a la ciudad de Córdoba. Está situado en las ruinas del lugar donde Abd al-Rahman I construyó su palacio de verano. Un edificio elegante, su jardín alberga las palmeras más antiguas de Europa y cuenta con una piscina, una zona de juegos para niños, una pista de pádel, una pista de tenis, un punto de recarga para coches eléctricos y las mejores vistas de la ciudad. También cuenta con un centro de convenciones con las instalaciones necesarias para garantizar el éxito de los eventos corporativos. Córdoba conserva siglos de historia en sus calles. La antigua capital de la España islámica y hoy ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad, está llena de monumentos como la Mezquita-Catedral, la más importante de estas estructuras y una de las construcciones más impresionantes del mundo; el Alcázar de los Reyes Católicos; y el puente romano. También destacan sus patios, calles y plazas, decorados con flores de colores, puertas, murallas y museos. A solo ocho kilómetros de su casco antiguo, se encuentra la misteriosa ciudad encargada por Abd-al Rahman III al pie de Sierra Morena, la hermosa Medina Azahara que lleva un nombre y una historia legendarios.
