¿Por qué elegir nuestro destino?
Entre las ciudades y pueblos de la Costa Brava, Cadaqués destaca por su autenticidad y singularidad. El nombre de Cadaqués podría deberse a la evolución del «Cap de Quers» (Cabo de las Rocas) debido a la gran cantidad de rocas, especialmente en la zona del Cap de Creus. Otra opción es que Cadaqués derive de «cadaquer» o «cadaquers» (bosque de càdecs: arbusto de esta zona costera). Una tercera posibilidad es que Cadaqués sea la combinación de dos vocablos de origen griego, kata-kairus, puerto ocasional (pues los griegos utilizaban este puerto en sus rutas comerciales cuando el mal tiempo les obligaba a interrumpir el paso).
Situada en la parte oriental de la península de Cap de Creus, la ciudad, considerada la joya de la Costa Brava, tiene una historia de miles de años, que se remonta a la época de los íberos.
