El mundialmente famoso arquitecto Jørn Utzon diseñó el Centro Utzon en Aalborg en colaboración con su hijo Kim Utzon. El Centro Utzon se inauguró en mayo de 2008 y es un lugar de encuentro en el paseo marítimo de Aalborg donde la arquitectura, el diseño y el arte, las exposiciones y conferencias, las reuniones y las experiencias culinarias se combinan. El Centro Utzon consta de dos salas de exposiciones: la Sala Spidsgatter, un taller para los estudiantes de Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad de Aalborg, la Biblioteca Utzon, el Auditorio Obel en el primer piso con vistas al fiordo de Lim y el Café y Restaurante Utzon. Toda la casa está construida alrededor del patio del atrio. El Utzon Center tiene una ubicación única cerca del paseo del puerto y del fiordo de Limfjord.
