About us
Located in the heart of the city, San Francisco Proper is a fresh take on the quintessential urban hotel experience; a reimagining of the past, present, and future of the city through the integrated lens of design, service, and attention to detail. Housed in a historic 1904 flat iron 7-story brick, stone and terracotta clad building, the 131-room hotel offers a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. The stately lobby, lovingly restored to its original charm, invites guests to engage in the spirit of the city in all its complex and fascinating aspects. Taking its cue from a range of early pre-modernist European styles, the design of the hotel seamlessly brings together the best of the old world with the most vibrant of the new. Yes, We do not use any plastic materials such as plastic dining ware, straws, cotton buds or small shower bottles. All are bamboo or recyclable materials or can be reused

Yes, We strip the entire room and wash all aspects and also reinforce the freshness of bathrobes by placing a clear plastic covering over it to emphasis it being clean. We also have stickers that we place on the outside of the guestroom reinforcing clean
