The sheer size and central location of the Greater Richmond Convention Center make it one of the most desirable meeting destinations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Situated in the heart of Virginia's capital city, just minutes from Richmond International Airport, the 700,000-square-foot facility sits on 5 and 1/2 city blocks. Interior accommodations include 178,159 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, 36 meeting rooms, including the 30,550-square foot Grand Ballroom. The center features floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the lobbies which flood the space with warm natural light. Rich woodwork, stained glass doors and intimate seating areas can be found throughout the facility. Parking is made easy thanks to adjoining decks that can handle 1,540 vehicles. Nearly 4,600 additional spaces are located within a six-block radius of the Center. The Richmond Marriott is connected to the Center and the Hilton Richmond Downtown hotel is just across the street. A selection of 3 to 5 star accommodations is conveniently located throughout downtown within a 10-block radius of the Center. The GRCC features a Cyber Café and Visitor Center. Complimentary Wi-Fi service can now be enjoyed in all public lobby spaces. Nearby attractions include the Virginia State Capitol Building, renowned Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Valentine Museum, historic Maymont Park and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to name a few. For additional entertainment, there are a number of theater and performing arts venues within walking distance of the convention center.
