About us
The beautiful Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is located in the Sonoran Desert on an expanse of rugged Arizona landscape where the ancient vistas, mountains, and roaming wild horses remain untouched. This destination resort includes two 18-hole golf courses, the Forbes Five-Star Aji Spa, a 17,500 square foot spa with 17 treatment rooms, the Koli Equestrian Center for riding lessons, trail rides and outdoor events, and is also equipped with tennis courts and jogging trails. We offer four pools with cascading waterfalls and a 111-foot waterslide modeling the ancient Casa Grande Ruins. Enjoy the 2-1/2 mile replica of the Gila River that meanders through the resort grounds with scenic boat rides to shuttle guests to the Whirlwind Golf Club and seasonally to Rawhide Event Center. Designed to inspire, our function rooms are named after desert animals in the Pima and Maricopa languages, and feature earth tones and cultural designs. Our main ballroom offers over 17,000 square feet, and our junior ballroom, over 7,000 square feet. Sixteen function rooms offer a variety of seating options. The two ballrooms display murals in subtle tones with images based on ancient figures representing music and dancing in the main ballroom, while baskets and pottery designs adorn the junior ballroom.

Whirlwind Golf Club is a truly unique Southwest golf experience sensitively designed to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Gila River Indian Community. Surrounded by spectacular mountains and managed by Troon Golf, this unique Chandler golf course is also home to the PGA's Nationwide Insurance Tour, Gila River Golf Classic held every year in October.
The two Chandler golf courses, Devil's Claw and Cattail, are masterpieces developed by Gary Panks that will impress and challenge golfers of all skill levels.
Covering 242 acres, with 92 acres of turfed area and 150 acres of desert landscape, Panks' design is "challenging but fair" for players of various handicaps. Each of the 36 holes is named after a significant legend or landmark of the Pima and Maricopa Indians. Only plants that are indigenous to the Gila River and its surrounding desert are featured on these 7,017-yard, par 72 Chandler golf courses.
Both Devil's Claw and Cattail were created to reflect the land by combining the Gila River landscape including Cottonwood, Mesquite, Saguaro and Palo Verde trees with native grasses and rolling terrain. These challenging Chandler golf courses also feature gradual elevation changes, great bunker designs with multi-tiered greens.
And when your golf round is over, be sure to visit Sivlik Grill in our clubhouse. Our Chandler restaurant offers a unique dining experience including creative cuisine, picturesque desert views and mountain vistas.

The Phoenix Symphony has been proudly serving the citizens of the Phoenix metropolitan area and Arizona since 1947. What began as an occasional group of musicians performing a handful of concerts each year (in a city of fewer than 100,000 people) today serves more than 300,000 people annually, with almost 200 concerts and presentations throughout the greater Phoenix area and beyond. The Phoenix Symphony presents an annual season from September through the beginning of June, featuring full-length classical and pops concerts at Symphony Hall in downtown Phoenix, as well as concerts in Scottsdale, Mesa, Prescott and throughout central Arizona. The Symphony performs for more than 80,000 students and children, helping to introduce music to new generations through a variety of education and youth-engagement programs.
As Arizona's only full-time, professional orchestra, The Phoenix Symphony operates on an annual budget of more than $11 million, of which ticket revenues cover approximately 40%. Remaining funds are provided through the generosity and vision of thousands of individuals, corporations, and foundations. The Symphony also receives important support through public funding provided from the area's citizens via the Arizona Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture, and other governmental departments.
The Phoenix Symphony offers a wide variety of programming each year — including regular series of Classics, Symphony Pops, Chamber Orchestra, and Family offerings, as well as special community presentations celebrating various holidays and area events. A strong and collaborative program of education and youth engagement activities includes concerts presented downtown for school children alongside smaller presentations performed at schools and for neighborhood groups throughout the Valley.
