Built ahead of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Utah Olympic Park hosted bobsleigh, skeleton, Luge, Nordic Ski Jumping, and Nordic Combined events. Today, the venue is an active Official U.S. Olympic Training Site providing a training center for Olympic and development level athletes. From learning about the Park’s unique Olympic heritage on a guided tour to taking a ride of a lifetime on the Comet Bobsled Ride, the Olympic Park offers activities for all ages and abilities.Summer and winter, the signature Comet Bobsled ride is the Olympic Park’s defining activity. With a seasoned bobsled pilot, experience the official 2002 Olympic Sliding Track including speeds over 60 mph and notable g-forces. The Park City Museum is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the rich history and heritage of Park City, Utah. From the mining days of old (including the original territorial jail cells) to the ski heritage of today, including the city’s role as the home of the most recent Olympics to take place on U.S. soil (Winter, 2002). The Museum offers guided tours through the exhibits by appointment only. Please make reservations at least three weeks in advance. Tours are $15 per person and last approximately one hour. The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Institute, is an American film festival that takes place annually in Utah. With 50,000 attendees it is one of the largest independent film festivals in the United States.
