The Gardens are open for self guided walking tours from 9am-4pm Mondays through Fridays. Trees, shrubs, vines, ground covers, perennials and ornamental grasses now show how foliage textures and colors can combine for beautiful effects. Flower color comes primarily from blooming shrubs and perennials. This is truly a garden for all seasons.

Gamble Garden is a non profit community horticultural foundation. Located in Palo Alto, south of SF, our 2.5 acre property includes an historic home, a carriage and tea house and formal and demonstration gardens. We are open to the public every day of the year for free.

The extensive sixteen-acre formal garden was planned and planted as construction of the house neared completion. The lawns and shrubs around the house were planted by the fall of 1917. The woodlands and the undeveloped Crystal Springs Watershed lands surrounding the estate provide a magnificent backdrop for the formal garden. The garden survives today as one of America’s finest historic gardens. The Bourn family asked Bruce Porter, known for his interiors, murals, stained glass windows, and garden designs, for help in making design decisions involving the layout of the site, the garden, and the outdoor structures. Porter shared Mr. Bourn’s appreciation of the natural California landscape and designed the formal garden to enhance the natural beauty of the landscape.

Welcome to Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View. Situated on over 60 acres in the heart of Silicon Valley -- 10 miles north of San Jose and 35 miles south of San Francisco -- Shoreline boasts one of the worlds largest tent structures, state-of-the-art sound and video systems, and helpful, friendly staff who make as many as 22,000 people per event feel safe, happy and comfortable. As one of the world's most innovative museums of modern and contemporary art, SFMOMA has had an active Web presence for ten years. During this period we have redesigned our site twice, always with the idea that a museum such as ours should continually strive to improve the ways in which it serves a diverse public. And, as our collective understanding of emerging digital technologies has increased, we felt that perhaps it was time to use the Web to explore our understanding of the museum itself.
