The Morgantown Event Center (MEC), which opened in the Summer of 2010 and is connected to Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, is the state's newest and most modern conference center. The MEC features a 22,946 sq. ft. exhibit space with 30 feet ceilings. An expansive reception area lies just outside the doors to the state's largest ballroom. The MEC is the perfect venue for general session meetings, private awards galas, and trade-shows, and it has hosted events ranging from annual conferences and symposiums to prize fights and tattoo expos.
