The Monterey Conference Center is the only conference facility in northern California steps away from the waterfront. With approximately 70,000 square feet of meeting space and 825 sleeping rooms at adjacent hotels. The Monterey Conference Center sits on the edge of the largest marine sanctuary in the United States - the Monterey Bay. Playful sea otters, graceful pelicans, harbor seals and sea lions entertain visitors walking from Fisherman's Wharf to the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. The 70,000 square foot Monterey Conference Connection offers three levels of outstanding meeting space including an exhibit hall, ballrooms, luxurious boardroom, breakouts, patios, galleries, terraces and banquet facilities. The Monterey Conference Center is connected to the Portola Hotel & Spa and the Monterey Marriott, which provide 720 sleeping rooms. The Conference Center is also near a host of other exceptional brand name and boutique hotels, inns and motels, as well as incredible restaurants and fascinating points of interest. Visitors from around the world come to Monterey for its scenic beauty and its history as California's first capital. Monterey is also known as the Language Capitol of the World because of the diversity of languages spoken and taught here. For golfers seeking a once in a lifetime experience, the world famous Pebble Beach Golf Links is just ten minutes from Monterey. And shoppers can enjoy the quaint village of Carmel-by-the-Sea, just five minutes from Monterey. Monterey is easily accessible by air. The Monterey Conference Center underwent an over 60 million dollar renovation to reconfigure meeting space to be more flexible and giving it a fresh, new look and state of the art technology. The center reopened in January 2018!
