This 45-mile long paved multi-use recreational trail runs from Shirlington to Purcellville and was built on the former railroad bed of the W&OD Railroad. The park includes an adjacent path for horseback riding, which runs 33 miles from Vienna to Purcellville.

The Udvar-Hazy Center is the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum companion center near Dulles International Airport.
