Hemingway House & Museum

Museum
The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is a National Historic Landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of the famed American author. Built in 1851 in the Spanish Colonial style, the residence was home to Hemingway and his second wife, Pauline Pfeiffer, during the 1930s. It was here that Hemingway penned some of his most notable works, including To Have and Have Not and The Snows of Kilimanjaro. The museum showcases the beautifully preserved home, lush gardens, and Hemingway's writing studio. A unique feature of the property is its population of polydactyl (six-toed) cats, descendants of Hemingway's own pet. Guided tours are available every fifteen minutes from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily
