Visitors to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers will enjoy 20 acres of historical buildings, historic gardens, the Edison Botanic Research Lab and the Edison Ford Museum. The newly restored buildings include the Edison Main House, Guest House, and Caretaker’s House and the Ford House. The 1929 historic landscape is throughout the property including the award winning Moonlight Garden. The Edison Ford Museum has hundreds of inventions, artifacts and special exhibits. In addition to providing the opportunity to explore the winter retreats of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, the site offers opportunities for the public to enjoy its park like environment for special events, weddings, corporate functions and meetings, exhibits and ongoing education programming. Throughout the year, this National Register Historic Site, Florida Historic Landmark and Winner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Restoration Award offers visitors of all ages a chance to step back into “old Florida” and the opportunity to learn more about the world through unique historical, scientific and cultural experiences. In 2014 the Edison Botanic Research Laboratory was designated as a National Historic Chemical Landmark by the American Chemical Society. Open Daily 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Last Guided Tour starts at 4:00 pm. Self-guided audio tours available in English, German, French, and Spanish. Maps available in English, German, French and Spanish. German language historian-led tours are also available every Wednesday at 10:30am.

With captivating live performances in classical, jazz, world, and rock music and cutting-edge theatre in the Capital Gallery, the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center provides unique entertainment throughout the year. Delight in paintings, sculptures and conceptual art exhibitions from local and international artists in the Grand Atrium plus independent film screenings. In addition to gallery exhibits, live performances, and film, the center hosts annual special events to benefit the Art Center and other area charities. Restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shops will showcase a wide range of music during Music Walk. From jazz and blues to rock, drums and much more. Each month will brings great music and new energy to the historic streets of downtown Fort Myers. If you plan on spending the night we recommend booking your hotel room in advance. The event will brings out thousands of music and art lovers to the River District. Organized by the River District Alliance who also manage Fort Myers Art Walk and many other downtown events. The Twins will be celebrating their 30th anniversary of Spring Training baseball in Lee County this year. The Lee Health Sports Complex is home to Hammond Stadium, five additional playing fields as well as the Twins Player Development Academy. It is also the home to two Twins' minor league affiliates, housing both the Ft. Myers Mighty Mussels of the Single-A Florida State League and the Rookie level Florida Complex League Twins. In addition, the complex features four state-of-the-art softball fields and annually hosts various other games and tournaments, bringing thousands of additional teams and tourists to Lee County each year. The main stadium was renamed Bill Hammond Stadium late in the 1994 spring season in honor of the Deputy County Manager who was instrumental in getting the complex built for the Twins. In November 2023, the entire complex was renamed the Lee Health Sports Complex as the Twins and Lee Health teamed up for a long-term partnership to create an extensive, long-lasting and positive impact on Southwest Florida.

Experience old Florida at Mound House where Estero Island's oldest standing structure sits on an ancient Calusa Indian Mound. Through archaeology and history 2,000 years of island life are revealed in a variety of tours and educational programs. Situated on Estero Bay, the site is accessible by boat and motor traffic and visitors are encouraged to picnic on the park grounds and enjoy the beautiful view. Acquired with funds from Florida Communities Trust in 2000, the Mound House has moved forward on providing high quality educational programs to the public while meeting site development needs. Recently completed projects include the construction of a kayak landing area that connects visitors to the Great Calusa Blueway Kayak Trail in Estero Bay and the Shell Mound Exhibit where visitors have the opportunity to walk inside a Calusa Indian mound. Mound Housegrounds have been landscaped to add to the historical ambience and provide further opportunities to meet the facility's educational mission.

2015 Spring Training marks the fourth season of JetBlue Park at Fenway South, the Spring Training ballpark and adjoining Player Development Complex for the Boston Red Sox in Lee County, Florida. A number of the characteristics of the ballpark are taken from Fenway Park, including a "Green Monster" and a manual scoreboard. JetBlue Park at Fenway South captures elements of Southwest Florida, including seashells within its brick foundation and the architecture of the white roof, mimicking cypress trees in the distance. Environmentally-sustainable features are incorporated throughout the facility and Complex. Fenway South provides state-of-the-art training facilities positioned on a single site and is intended to be used year-round. It will include JetBlue Park, the main ballpark with a total capacity of approximately 11,000 fans (including standing room and berm), six practice fields, and other adjoining facilities that will house both the Major and Minor League operations and a rehabilitation center.
