About us

The ACT Branch of the Australian Institute of International Affairs is the ideal forum for people in Canberra and district who want to keep in touch with what is going on in the world. We hold, on average, 20 to 25 meetings a year from February to December where guest speakers with expertise in their field give lively and informative addresses followed by wide-ranging question-and-answer sessions. One or both of these segments can be held under Chatham House Rules, which enhances the value of the exchange. When it comes to finding a venue for a board meeting, conference, training, seminar and/or workshop the International Affairs Conference Centre is the venue that suits your needs and meets your budget. The International Affairs Conference Centre is a newly refurbished and multifunctional conference centre located conveniently in Deakin. The three rooms make it a very flexible venue that will suit your needs: the board room, the workshop area and the conference room.
