About us

A new generation of business hotel: Contemporary, elegant and with charming service – this is how the Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin presents itself at the boulevard, in front of the legendary “Kranzler-Eck”, in close vicinity to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the KaDeWe (the biggest department store of Europe) and the Berlin Zoo. The hotel was designed inside and out by the renowned Berlin architect Jan Kleihues. The tapering 17-story exterior with its rounded edges and delicately-shaded shell limestone facade commands attention. Fine woods, warm colors, clear lines. All 311 rooms and suites in the Dorint Kurfurstendamm Berlin are puristic, yet extravagant in style, whilst also offering the latest, cutting-edge technology. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and complimentary high-speed internet access. The bathroom is particularly generously proportioned, with separate shower and bath. All Komfort rooms are newly renovated. There are 16 flexible conference rooms with a total of 2,200 sqm. One major highlight is the elegant Concorde ballroom with 450 square meter, a fine parquet floor, and rows of large windows on two sides of the room. Another is the impressive Salon Opera, with over 300 square meters, a unique semicircular shape, and a panoramic view over the Kurfürstendamm. All conference rooms have natural daylight, windows that can be darkened, integrated projection screens, and complimentary WiFi. The hotel offers French savoir-vivre right at the Ku’damm: the restaurant Le Faubourg with terrace, the Lounge-Bar and the restaurant St. Germain for breakfast and private luncheons and dinners. The hotel also offers a fitness room, sauna, steam bath and foot bath.

The Pergamon Museum is one of the largest and most impressive museums in Berlin, and if you only get to see one museum, this should be it. Itwas named after an ancient Greek city and was eventually opened in 1930 after a long period of construction. Building had started in 1907 but was severely interrupted due to World War I and the subsequent years of economic hardship in Germany. Like so many other notable Berlin museums, it is located on Museum Island and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm II to represent peace, the gate was ironically embedded in the Berlin Wall and firmly locked for the duration of Communist rule. The gate now symbolizes reunification and stands majestically in the centre of Berlin, physically joining the two sides of the city.

Gedachtniskirche (Memorial Church)
Historical landmark

The most striking building on Kurfürstendamm, Berlin's most exclusive shopping street, in the half destroyed Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church (Gedächtnis-Kirche). Initially, there were plans to demolish the church to make place for a new one, but due to public pressure this did not happen. Instead, the church stands were it always has, with its bombed out tower - a constant reminder of the Second World War. Today, the church is a memorial hall, where visitors can still see the ground floor interior of the church as well as see before and after shots, and learn more about the history of the church and the surrounding area.

Covert Cocktail Club

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!
