The award-winning Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing is located in the heart of Beijing's western district while the Beijing Capital Airport is only 30 minutes away. It is near major government and business organization, Zhongguancun(Silicon Valley of Beijing), world renowned universities and the Financial Street(the Wall Street of China). The hotel's proximity to the Diao Yu Tai State Guest House, coupled with Shangri-la's unsurpassed standards of service, makes the hotel the perfect address for dignitaries and their entourage and the media. It is also close to the historical Summer Palace and several recreational attractions where outside catering can be arranged by our experienced Events Management and Banquet teams. The hotel's signature 3,000 square meter landscaped garden offers the best setting for "outside" events without having to travel too far from the hotel. With the completion of Valley Wing in March 2007, Shangri-la Hotel, Beijing has a total of 670 rooms with the largest conference facilities in town, totaling over 5,000 square meters of function space, all equipped with state-of-the-art meeting facilities and cutting-edge IT connections.

Beijing National Stadium, also known as the National Stadium or colloquially as the Bird's Nest is a stadium in Beijing, China. The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. After the Olympics, it became a large professional venue enabling the Beijing public to participate in sports activities and enjoy sport competitions and entertainment. Known as the Water Cube, the National Aquatics Centre is located inside the Beijing Olympic Park. It was the main swimming facility and one of the landmark buildings built for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The Water Cube's water park covers an area of approximately 20,000 square metres, and is Asia's largest, most advanced and most comfortable indoor leisure park.
