Our ballrooms are spectacular and have hosted everything from Sweet 16s to weddings and corporate events. We hold a special place in many people’s hearts, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We call it “The Fox Experience.” We hope you enjoy your experience here at the Fox! Allan C. More

Stay Safer! The Georgian Terrace boasts 326 well-appointed guest rooms and over 16,000 square feet of world-class business facilities, and three classic ballrooms. The hotel’s own Livingston Restaurant + Bar, Edgar’s Proof & Provision, and Buffalo Bayou Coffee offer innovative Southern-inspired cuisine, spirited libation, and local brews and ensure The Georgian Terrace remains “Atlanta’s Modern Classic” for generations to come. Grand yet welcoming, The Georgian Terrace is the epitome of true Southern hospitality. Built in 1911, this historic icon soon earned the nickname, “the Grande Dame of Atlanta.” Modernized in 1991 with the addition of a new tower, the hotel remains a celebrated architectural masterpiece situated at the heart of Atlanta’s Midtown Mile, directly across from the world-famous Fox Theater and adjacent business and commercial districts. To be great, a city must have a great hotel, a grand hotel. When Atlanta was coming into its own in the early 20th century that hotel was The Georgian Terrace. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, crystal chandeliers and white marble columns, The Georgian Terrace had an elegance Atlanta hadn't known before. When the hotel opened its doors in glamorous Midtown nearly a century ago, it opened them to some very notable guests, including President Calvin Coolidge, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Tallulah Bankhead. In 1939, The Georgian Terrace hosted the premiere gala of Gone with The Wind. Every decade brought more notoriety to the hotel. In the 1970s, concert promoter Alex Cooley turned our Grand Ballroom into the famed Electric Ballroom, hosting concerts by musicians such as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, and Patti Smith. Notable hotel guests include, Helen Keller, Walt Disney, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Presidents Calvin Coolidge and Warren Harding, Tallulah Bankhead, Charles Lindbergh, Elvis Presley and Rudolph Valentino. Now we are host to cast and crew for many of the major motion pictures that are being filmed in Atlanta. Wehave also been featured in many of the major motion pictures, and television shows filmed in the hotel. We are in the business of making memories. We do approximately 100 weddings a year, and it keeps growing. As Atlanta modernized its skyline many of its older buildings disappeared, but not The Georgian Terrace Hotel. As did the nearby Fox Theatre, this beautiful historic hotel had dedicated fans, and in 1986, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
