Diese zwischen 1609 und 1616 erbaute kaiserliche Moschee ist ein Beispiel für klassische türkische Architektur. Sie ist die einzige Moschee, die ursprünglich mit sechs Minaretten erbaut wurde. Obwohl sie im Volksmund als Blaue Moschee bekannt ist, heißt sie mit bürgerlichem Namen Sultanahmet-Moschee. Der Architekt Mehmet Aga, ein Student von Sinan, dem größten Architekten der klassischen türkischen Architektur, entsprach seinem ursprünglichen Beruf und schmückte das Interieur anspruchsvoll wie ein Juwelier mit blauen Iznik-Fliesen an allen Wänden. Kevin was a standout alto saxophonist in elementary and middle school, then switched to tenor sax as an adult. Inspired by BB King’s killer horn section, Kevin began honing his skills playing the blues.
