About us

Das Falkirk Wheel ist das einzige rotierende Bootslift der Welt und ein wahres Wunderwerk der Technik, das man einmal gesehen hat, nie vergessen wird. Der Bau dauerte 22 Monate, 17,5 Millionen Pfund und über 500 Menschen. Er befördert bei jeder Umdrehung bis zu 600 Tonnen auf eine Höhe von 35 Metern. Es bietet eine einzigartig dramatische Kulisse für eine Geschäftskonferenz, eine Hochzeit oder fast jede andere besondere Veranstaltung. An der Stelle, an der sich die Kanäle Forth & Clyde und Union trafen, war Falkirk einst das geschäftige Zentrum der Schifffahrt von Küste zu Küste. Nach Jahrzehnten der Vernachlässigung hat The Wheel dem System neues Leben eingehaucht und Falkirk ist wieder einmal das Zentrum einer geschäftigen, lebendigen Kanalkultur. Es ist ein inspirierender Ort. Das Falkirk Wheel ist ein einzigartiger und unvergesslicher Ort für jede Geschäftsveranstaltung. Dank der atemberaubenden Lage am Wasser — und natürlich der beeindruckenden Besonderheit von The Wheel selbst — eignet es sich perfekt für Verkaufskonferenzen, Produkteinführungen, Schulungs- und Motivationsveranstaltungen sowie kleinere, weniger formelle Besprechungen. Das Besucherzentrum verfügt über eine dramatische Glaswand mit beeindruckender Aussicht und bietet Platz für 200 Gäste für ein formelles Abendessen, 250 für ein Buffet oder bis zu 300 für Getränke und Canapés. Draußen gibt es harte Ständer für ein großes Festzelt, das bis zu 1500 Gäste aufnehmen kann. The Wheel befindet sich auf einem herrlichen Grundstück mit herrlichem Blick auf die nahe gelegenen Ochil Hills. Um Geschäftliches mit Vergnügen zu verbinden, werden vor Ort oder in der Nähe Bootsausflüge, Golf, Angeln und viele andere Aktivitäten angeboten.
