Im Inneren führt eine schöne Doppeltreppe hinauf zu den königlichen Gemächern, in denen sich heute das Einrichtungsmuseum des Palastes usw. befinden. Verpassen Sie nicht die riesige Krippe aus dem 18. Jahrhundert in der Cappella Reale (Königliche Kapelle). Der Palazzo Reale beherbergt auch die Nationalbibliothek, die Tausende von Papyrusrollen enthält, die in Herculaneum gefunden wurden, und die Überreste einer koptischen Bibel aus dem 5. Jahrhundert. Der Palast befindet sich an der eleganten Piazza Plebiscito, dem größten Platz Neapels, der nach der Abstimmung von 1870 benannt ist, durch die Neapel in das vereinte Königreich Italien aufgenommen wurde.
