Bastiaanskloof

About us
Bastiaanskloof is situated in the historic and picturesque mountain pass of Bainskloof, one and a half hour’s drive from Cape Town. It boasts access to spectacular mountain hikes and trails and two main perennial rivers, the Witte River and the Bastiaanskloof river. Both of these rivers have beautiful waterfalls and natural pools and are still sparsely populated with indigenous Cape Galaxias, Cape Kurper and Breede River Redfin. Guests have a choice of 5 self-catering cottages on the property. Three cottages are situated next to the Bainskloof Pass road and are set in an indigenous landscaped garden, with a small perennial stream and waterfall. A short walk away from the cottages is the Witte River with its natural pools in which to swim. There are decks for sun tanning in comfort! The Kraal cottage and India House are set in a different part of the property, about 1km away from the above cottages and about 1km in towards the mountains. They are completely private and peaceful and have access to their own magnificent river pool. Also, it is now offering a unique venue for functions – be it from small corporate events to weddings up to 160 people.
