The Liberty is a national historic landmark and architectural gem built in 1851, the imaginative transformation of the storied Charles Street Jail into a 298-room luxury hotel. Offering sweeping city views and 5 distinct restaurants and lounges, The Liberty welcomes guests with its rich history, modern technology, and unrivaled luxurious guest experience. The Liberty resides in the quaint Beacon Hill neighborhood, across from Boston's transit system and just 3 miles from Boston’s Logan Airport. Steps from Charles Street, Government Center, Faneuil Hall, The Aquarium, the TD Bank Garden, and the historic North End, The Liberty is nestled between the Back Bay, Financial District, and North End. Featuring 14,000 square feet of flexible event space, meeting rooms range in size from 450 square feet to 3,000 square feet. Our meeting space offers floor to ceiling windows, boasting plenty of natural daylight. Our unique rotundas on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors, overlooking the vibrant lobby, are ideal space for breakfast, lunch, dinner and receptions. The Liberty also features an outdoor courtyard, uniquely called The Yard, a private outdoor oasis for your event.

The Liberty Hotel welcomes hotel guests with a glass of champagne at check-in and encourages our guests to enjoy our energetic, educational, and social events, The Liberty Affairs. These weekly events take place throughout the hotel and are always complimentary, featuring events such as: Major Mondays with Live Music, Gallery Night on Tuesdays showcasing local artists, Whole Note Wednesdays with Live Music, Fashionably Late Thursdays with local boutiques walking the runway, Summer Stretch Yoga in The Yard, Yappier Hour for our four legged friends and Beat Weekends.
