About us
Since 1951, the Museum of Science has occupied one of Boston’s most extraordinary waterfront locations, first discovered by former president and director Bradford Washburn while glancing out of an airplane. Today, that same remarkable setting continues to inspire, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable event experiences. A true departure from the ordinary, the Museum provides distinctive surroundings and immersive environments that captivate even the most seasoned event guests. With sweeping views in every season and at any time of day or evening, each event is thoughtfully designed and tailored to bring your vision to life. We work hand in hand with MAX Ultimate Food to execute seamless events and maintain close partnerships with many of the region’s most reputable and creative vendors. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and experiences that leave a lasting impression. With extraordinary versatility, the Museum of Science can accommodate events ranging from intimate gatherings of 20 to large-scale celebrations of up to 5,000 guests. Each year, the Museum is proud to host more than 400 private events. As a nonprofit organization, revenue generated through private events plays a vital role in supporting our educational programs, exhibits, and community initiatives. These events help advance our mission to inspire a lifelong love of science in everyone and to strengthen public understanding of and trust in science. We are grateful for your interest in being part of that impact.
