About us
We are a 17th century Coaching Inn in the quiet Hertfordshire village of Sheering, near to Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth both in Hertfordshire and Harlow in Essex. The original part of the Inn was built in 1655, whereas the hotel was built in 2003 so has a modern feel to it. As we are situated 15 minutes drive from Stansted Airport and 30 minutes by train to either Cambridge or London staying at The Cock Inn is very popular with all types of visitors. In total we have 12 bedrooms – 3 of which can accommodate 3 to 4 people – 2 of our standard rooms are interconnecting.
