Established in 1983 by the Texas 68th Legislature for the purpose of preserving, maintaining and restoring the State Capitol, the General Land Office Building, and their contents and grounds for the benefit of the citizens of Texas.

Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, is a world-class destination for premium sports and entertainment. It is the first racing facility in the United States purposely built for Formula 1™ racing and is designed to host a variety of sports and entertainment events. The Circuit is home to the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, which was just named the 2012 “Sports Event of the Year” by SportsBusiness Journal/Daily. The inaugural F1 USGP recorded a three-day attendance of more than 265,000 fans with 117,429 attending the race on Nov. 17, making the Circuit’s first Grand Prix the second-most attended Formula 1 race of the season.

The Austin Convention Center is a LEED® Gold certified building located in the heart of the capital of Texas, one of the most affordable cities in America. The convention center has a convenient downtown location, between the shores of Lady Bird Lake and historic Sixth Street. It has easy access to I-35 and is a short distance from 6,000 downtown hotel rooms. The facility’s expansion has allowed events to expand their conventions, trade shows and expos. Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater (ACL Live) is a state-of-the-art, 2,750-person capacity live music venue that hosts approximately 100 concerts a year. It serves as the new home for the taping of the acclaimed KLRU-TV produced PBS series, Austin City Limits, the longest running music series in American television history. Lady Bird Lake provides a tremendous recreational resource for the state’s capitol, including hike and bike trails surrounding the shoreline as well as paddling, rowing, and fishing in the lake.
