About us
The Garth is right in the heart of the Lake District National Park in the pretty, unspoiled village of Near Sawrey , surrounded by National Trust land and buildings. Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s home, is a minute’s walk away, next to an excellent pub with a very special atmosphere- low beams, warm log fire and really good, well-kept ales. The Garth is surrounded by wonderful grounds in a peaceful side lane. Garth House have three self-catering units. Aspland Place is 5* rated and has luxurious, spacious accommodation for 2 people, enjoying the main entrance and original main entertaining rooms of the house. Gardener's Cottage and Garth Court are both situated in the very pretty, sunny courtyard area of the house. Garth Court has spacious, luxury accommodation for 4 people and Gardener's Cottage is a lovely studio cottage for 2 people, full of light and tastefully restored with old oak beams and contemporary touches.
