It was the first U.S. Open to be played in Los Angeles since 1948 and left a lasting legacy for the City and the Club. The U.S. Open Championship field was comprised of 156 professional and amateur players. The Champion, Wyndham Clark, shot an even-par 70 to win his first career U.S. Open and major championship.
