Highlights of Monroeville
1. Highlight 1
It was first founded as Patton Township in 1769; then, after serving as a major stagecoach stop, Monroeville graduated from small village status when it experienced a boom in cool mining, an early indicator of its current industrial strength. It was incorporated as a borough in 1951.
