Metrorrey The Metrorrey is Monterrey's subway system, with 31 stations and 2 lines. It runs services between 5:00 AM and midnight and is handicap accessible. 1 ticket costs $4.50 MXN (about 40 cents USD). Rental Cars International and local car rental companies are represented at the airport, including Advantage, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and Thrifty. Taxis Taxis are a cheap and efficient way to get around Monterrey. Fares generally start around $7.45 MXN plus $5.40 MXN per kilometer. Authorized taxis are generally painted green with a white roof and a "taxi" logo; they have an ID number on the side-door and a visible driver ID.
