Sunyani
Named for the local word for "elephant," Sunyani started as a hunting post. In a divot in the middle of the Ashanti Uplands in mid-Western Ghana,
Sunyani has road connections to Kumasi, the Ashanti people's capital, and contains numerous regional government buildings, which give the city its
life. It also has an airport, a respected hospital, and a few Sunyani MICE event venues.
Two miles north of the city center, Sunyani Airport (NYI) has domestic access to Accra and Kumasi, as well as bush pilot planes to various remote
locales.
While there are no dedicated conference venues in Sunyani, MICE hotels include the 107-room Eusbett Hotel, which was built in 1998, has four
meeting rooms, the largest of which is able to host up to 200 persons, as well as a pool, five bars and restaurants, and a breakout area. Elsewhere,
