The airport is only 9 kilometres north of the city centre – which means that you can reach your destination quickly and conveniently. The underground S-Bahn station is located in the terminal building itself. The S-Bahn will take you to the city centre and/or the Dresden Mitte stop which is nearest to the Maritim International Congress Center. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. Dresden is a major hub in Deutsche Bahn’s mainline network. There are daily connections to most major German cities at intervals of two hours maximum. ICE, EC and IC trains stop at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) as well as Dresden-Neustadt Station. The direct connection to Dresden's well developed local public transport is ensured. Dresden arriving by car and long-distance bus
Dresden and Sayony are famous for car production as well for E-mobility development. That is why the car connection to Dresden is very well developed as well. Three motorways converge on Dresden. The A4 connects the west and the east with Dresden. The A13 comes in from the north while the A17 connects the Saxon capital with Prague. Long-distance bus: Express coaches provide fast, affordable and direct connections between Dresden and major cities such as Berlin, Munich, Vienna and Prague.
