Are you considering pitching to speak?

As tech leaders, we believe that a conference dedicated to making our industry better should reflect the diversity that surrounds us, and we encourage people from groups traditionally underrepresented in technology to apply. All speakers will find a supportive environment to help them prepare for their talk, whether it’s your first technical talk, or your 100th!

We want to see the innovative apps you’ve built, how you’ve built them, and why. Show us your creativity, share your knowledge, and help the community build more and better apps.

If selected as a speaker, here’s what you get:

We’ll provide assistance with:

• Topic refinement

Great! For this year's sessions, we aim to keep them within the 30-45 minute range.

📥 Submission Process 

The process begins with the login into the platform that we're using to host the Call for Speakers. Create an account if you don't have one yet and this will allow the system to recognize your profile and help you fill out the form fields in case you have more than one session to submit.

The rest of the submission process has 4 steps, and after you've logged in, you can save and come back if needed (just be sure to submit it until July 19!).

The first step is to accept the Terms and Conditions and Image Consent. Next, you'll start adding your details and then the pitch details.

‍🎤A Good Pitch 

First, make sure you have a focused topic and describe it succinctly (there’s a character limit for a reason!). 

Don’t worry about coming up with a clever title, or perfect teaser for the site. We’ll get to that later! Explain what the audience will learn and what you are actually going to talk about. Tell us what you’ll show, how you’ll do it, and why! Take into account the session's time limit and its target audience.

Don’t submit a high level topic without any details. Even if the topic is interesting, we need to know what you’ll focus on to ensure it fits with the rest of the agenda.

📑 Selection Process 

We have an internal selection committee made up of OutSystems employees that will review pitches. 

We look at the entire pitch to help us get a comprehensive idea of what to expect from your talk.

Everyone will be notified until August 6, 2024, regardless of the status of their submission.
