Open Community Experience is the Eclipse Foundation’s
flagship developer conference. 
We invite all community members to submit a talk proposal.

Please note: The general Call for Proposals is now closed. The Submission System is still open for sponsored talks and invited speakers.

Please do not submit unless you are a sponsor or an invited speaker.

Important Information

  • Talks are 35 minutes long, and must include time for questions.
  • You will be asked to agree to the speaker agreement when submitting.
  • Please, no submissions by third parties; the person who will give the talk should also submit the talk!
  • Speaker passes (free conference admission) go to the first speaker on a talk. We are not able to offer discounts for co-speakers.

Submission System Details

  • Proposals can be edited after they are submitted. The system will not send a confirmation email after a submission is edited.
  • Co-speakers can be added when a proposal is first created, or added later by editing a submission.
  • Co-speakers do not have access to the submission system to view or edit talks on which they are a co-speaker. 
  • Co-speakers do not receive a confirmation email when a talk is submitted.
  • Please note! An extra step is required to submit more than one talk. Upon login, previous submitters will see the "My Submissions" view. To access the submission form from this view, click on the "Home" link at the top of the page, then click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.

Submission Topics

If you have not yet chosen the topic for your submission, visit the collocated event landing pages (links below) to learn about the content planned for each event, including the list of submission topics. Then when completing the submission form, choose the event-topic combination that best matches your proposal.

How to  Submit

Please be prepared to include the following items and information as part of your submission.

  • A great title!
  • Detailed description, including attendee pre-requisites and the objective of the presentation
  • Photo and bio for all speakers
  • Job title and organization for all speakers
    (If not affiliated with a company, we suggest "Freelance," "Self-employed," or "Independent.")
  • Speaking experiences and references for main speaker (if any)
