CEO and Senior Leaders' Network Forum
Q Shelter invites you to join fellow leaders from Queensland’s housing and homelessness sector.
The forum is themed Beyond COVID-19 and will be an opportunity for the sector to come together to review responses to COVID-19, and for further dialogue on stimulus for social and affordable housing.

Understanding the Queensland planning system and building support for affordable housing
This course is designed to provide an overview of planning and the Queensland planning system for those in the community and affordable housing and homelessness services sector, and those with an interest in the increase of affordable housing supply.
The course will:
  • Demystify the Queensland planning system
  • Provide information relevant to dealing with property portfolios
  • Provide information relevant to advocating to local and state government on housing matters.
7-Aug Session One: Overview of the planning system and how it works
28-Aug Session Two: Planning, development and your property portfolio
18-Sep Session Three: Engaging in policy development and advocating for better housing outcomes
Each session is $50 for Q Shelter members and $65 for non-members

Summer Foundation Tenancy Matching Service and Summer Housing are hosting information sessions about Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). You will find out what it is, how it works and learn about Summer Housing’s SDA apartments across inner city Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

News - Super funds to press for affordable housing subsidy
Industry super funds are set to endorse proposals for state and federal governments to release cheap land and offer tax incentives so that retirement funds can invest in affordable housing during the economic recovery.
